Allentown is at a crossroads, and the County must now be able to adapt and perform at a higher level while “getting back to the basics” of delivering core services to our residents. Unfortunately, Allentown residents have become used to expecting less from their government, and Lehigh County l has responded with ever-diminishing returns.

David Jones wants to raise our expectations and deliver better results. He believes that Allentown’s best days are ahead if we focus on the key strengths of our City: its neighborhoods and the families that have invested in making each neighborhood unique. A government that is exceeding expectations with the services it delivers will help retain and attract those families. When shaping policy and making legislative decisions, David will always be an advocate for the needs of the families Allentown.

Restoring County Pride

David believes that a clean environment is not 'just a nice thing.' It affects how we think and feel about everything around us. When we see blight, we care less about our city. But it doesn't have to be this way! By starting with proven approaches of New York and other cities: they took care of the little problems like trash, graffiti, wrecked cars, abandoned properties.David will work to convene a Quality Improvement Council that will look at all the factors shaping our Quality of Life - plus how they relate to crime and education. Every smart manager knows that good measurement makes good decisions!
